Romans 1:20

DaySpring Daily Word of Inspiration: Romans 1:20 – For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

Today will be a simple look at what is currently in our sight. When you look at the buildings and home structures that have been produced through human ingenuity where do you think it comes from? I think we need to go deeper…. When you look at the sea and you stand along a shoreline, what makes the water stay at bay? When you look in the sky and see the moon and the stars, where do you think that harmony comes from? Lastly, when you look at the sun, what keep us in perfect position day after day, from rotating into it and being destroyed? I am more than confident in saying that there seems to be a lot of unexplainable things that take place on a daily basis that without something holding it all together, should make you think about what or who is really in control. The fact that you can’t make yourself awake from sleep should show truth that you’re not in control of that!

The bible is clear to say that nothing in all of creation has been created without Jesus Christ. This means nothing that man has thought up or made with his hands was from his own genius. Every innovation of modern advancement is inspired by God. The part that we overlook is that the evidence is all around us.

Let’s take the items of modern civilization out of the equation. When you think about where earth came from, many scientist point to the theory of the “Big Bang”. Particles came together and created huge amounts of energy and then formed a world with plant life, water, shaped an actual planet and then produced life. I know what you’re thinking, “when you say it like that, it sounds pretty far-fetched”. So let’s say that is true…. (for the sake of this example), then where did the elements that collided together to make everything come from? Even scientist will attest to the fact that something cannot come from nothing. So who created the elements? I think you know the answer to that.

Without belaboring the point, as believers in Christ it is our duty not only to make sense of biblical truths but to help others identify the power of God through his creation which is Earth and everything in it. We have to be real with ourselves and truly evaluate whether the full existence of mankind was brought about by elements that appeared out of nowhere or if there was a divine hand at work in making, positioning and keeping everything together.

We have no excuse to not accept the biblical truth of how this world and everything in it was created. There should be no doubt in our hearts and minds that there is a God who’s more powerful than us. If you look around, the awesomeness of his ability is all around you and I!

Today we pray that you can get back to the basics of enjoying the surroundings that God gave us and understand that this creation is evidence that He as the higher power is superior in all things. No one can never say they’ve never seen God display his power, creativity or his nature. Our moral compasses attest to his nature, our ability to be on the cutting edge of innovation attests to his creativity and our presence to live on a planet that has so many marvels attests to his power. Think about that the next time you need proof that God is who he says he is. God can’t lie, everything that his power can produce has been laid perfectly before your very eyes. Do you have an excuse not to take him at his worth with having tangible proof all around you? Jesus please open our eyes to your majesty all around us and help us to understand and realize that your brilliance and power are always in sight. Help us to believe the truth. In Jesus’ name, AMEN!
