Psalm 27:13

DaySpring Daily Word of Inspiration: Psalm 27:13 – I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

Today we take a moment to clearly and intentionally meditate on what we are and have been exposed to. Many of us are sometimes under the impression that this is supposed to be our best lives. I would combat that with, how do you think living in a sinful world will afford you the best life that God wants you to have or live? Needless to say, our best life isn’t here on earth but in heaven.  With that being said, we do have the difference of perspective when we look at the world we live in today.

Yes, this world has been and is growing more evil daily. Fortunately for us as Christians, as we increase Christ in our lives, his authority in our churches and homes, and his teachings in our character, we have a force more powerful working on our side – but do you actually see it? Do you believe that you can and will experience the Lord’s goodness even as you’re living in this sinful world? Can you be confident in the fact that people can relish in the acts of righteousness even while under the thumb of sinful oppression on all sides? We want to truly meditate on that today.

For us all to be able to move in the Spirit, we have to know and see the attributes of his goodness at work around us even in this day and age! Now let us be clear, this isn’t something mystical or voices raining down on us from heaven. Even the bible proclaims that the evidence of God’s work/goodness being all around us (Rom. 1:19-20). We cannot suppress the truth that is all around us that has been made known to us. If we do, we lie to ourselves about God’s power, presence, existence and goodness in the world we currently live. Will you open your eyes to see it today?

Not everything in this live is going to be full of God’s goodness; we live in a world plagued by nature of sin. However, God’s goodness still reigns all around us, in us and for those who believe in his Son Jesus Christ, to see it with our own eyes as we place our confidence in an unshakable faith in him. What goodness of the Lord do you see in the land of the living? It’s working in plain sight, but are you confident in the work that God is doing before your eyes or are you missing out on seeing God’s hand at work?

Meditate now on all of God’s goodness and fan into a flame your confidence in what God’s plan is and how he’s working it out for all men to see! As we root ourselves in the power of his word, we gain confidence to know that goodness is prevailing as we begin to see his true nature through our obedience. What are you confident in? Meditate now. In Jesus’ name, AMEN!
