Psalm 18:30

DaySpring Daily Word of Inspiration: Psalm 18:30 – As for God, his way is perfect: The LORD’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him.

Often times in this life, the mindset we are taught is that we need to continually be achieving or progressing. We need to depend on ourselves and have a plan for our lives that we stick to; a script we should follow, if you will. I’ve even told myself in the past that I create my own destiny and if I can visualize it, I can achieve it. I must say, all of this is true…………BUT……only sort of……

We are definitely supposed to be focused in our efforts in life and not aimless wonder into all different types of things without regard. We should want to be the best we can be and even try to better ourselves as we mature and gain knowledge. There is NO problem with that. In fact, the bible even speaks about how God wants you to have life, and life to the full. The problem is when we think that these things are what’s most important in life and put all of our energy into accomplishing them.

The question becomes, who’s plan do you think will be more beneficial to your life? On one hand you have your plan. It has been ingrained in your mind to go to school, get a great job, build your family and live well. On the other hand you have God’s plan. It simply states that if we put him first and surrender to his will, we will have life, but life in abundance; also there are other assurances (promises) that you will be free from things like anxiety, stress, fear, worry, pain, heartache, sadness, loneliness, and etc.

Now, it gets real. So in your plan, you can’t see how things are going to turn out. You can’t predict how you’ll handle life’s circumstances. You may get caught off guard in multiple areas of life that you had no idea about. Last but not least, there’s no guarantee that your plan will ever take effect or come to furiation – no matter how hard you work.

In God’s plan, because he can’t lie, you have a guarantee…better yet, you have a promise that He will do what he said he will do. One of the beautiful things about being a Christian is you can quietly in confidence rely on God. Based on just your actions in faith, God WILL do what he said he will do for you! There’s not a matter of IF, it’s only a matter of WHEN!!!

How have you been feeling about your plan recently? As a believer we’re supposed to be trusting in the great plan that God has available. Why? Because it’s a sure bet! You can’t promise yourself anything in this life, but God can and has…… already!
If you’re feeling any anxieties about your future, it could be you’re still living by your flawed plan and haven’t surrendered to God’s plan for your life. Remember if you submit to his plan for your life, he will comfort you, protect you, and propel you; because HE CAN’T LIE!!!

Today we want everyone to get back on track with trusting in God’s flawless word and having our beliefs lived out daily by faith. Take the burden out of life. Take refuge in God and let him lead the way. Let this mediation bring you into a godly mindset and new realization of the path God would have you embark upon today! Have a blessed day, in Jesus’ name, AMEN!
