DaySpring Daily Word of Inspiration: Michah 7:18 – Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy.

What an awesome God we serve! I think this statement get pushed under the rug or is not acknowledged the way it should be in our Christian lives. There is no other god like our God!

Think about it for a moment. Consider how we as humans act when we’re treated unfairly. Think of the way you (& I feel) when people maliciously talk about us. Think of the ways you devise in your mind to repay evil for evil. Look at how we speak to one another when we’re upset. Think about how you treat other people when your upset…even folks who did nothing wrong to you. Pretty sad when you think about it; especially if you’re supposed to be making a claim for our God.

Now after you have let your mind simmer on that, let’s consider how our God should treat us if he were human too …… but he still had all of his power (oops, He did that already)…..SMH!! We’d be in a whole lot of trouble He treated us like we treated Him.

Thankfully, we serve a God who is not only bigger than our human detestable antics but our sins as well! There is no god like our GOD!!!

Today, we want you to take a moment to mediate on the goodness that God has shown you; even through all of your failures. He still has forgiveness ready for you. He still has his grace available for you. His son has still died for you – all that and he knew you would not only treat his people badly but you would treat him badly too.

There is no god like OUR GOD. Thank you Jesus for not only allowing us to be called brothers and sisters but for allowing us to also share the greatest Father EVER! We pray that you are moved to respect the Father and all that he continues to do for you because he is not like us and we should be grateful for that fact. Thank you God for being God! In Jesus’ name, AMEN!
