DaySpring Daily Word of Inspiration: Isaiah 40:28-29 – Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no once can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.
There are fundamental truths that are constant in this life. If there is up, there is a down. If there is a sunrise, there will be a sunset. There will be good times and there will definitely be bad times. What we know shapes our lives and has us conduct ourselves a certain way throughout each day. We have routines we follow because of what we are certain of or what we expect. So what about in our spiritual life? What do we know or can we expect when we have a fundamental truth we live by on a daily basis?
What we know about God absolutely shapes us in a way that we never can truly comprehend. However, if we don’t know the fundamental truth about the Creator, we will never experience life to its fullest. The truth of the matter lies in who God is and what is able to do. Without true knowledge of God, we are hurt in this life like everyone else. It can be expected; it’s inevitable. On the other side though, with the knowledge of truth of who God is, we suffer but not like everyone else! This is a truth that comes with promises from God himself (The Creator)! When we encounter things in our lives that are intended to bring us as Christians down, we are able deal with it because of our knowledge of God. Even our scripture today tells us of this (including many others in the bible). When we accept the fundamental truth that God is the ultimate authority and power from everlasting to everlasting, there is comfort, strength to proceed and power to conquer any issue because the truth is our God will never grow tired or weary; and us releasing our circumstances and situations unto him, will keep us from being tired and weary also
Today, we have to make a serious decision. We can either continue to live this life acting as if we’ve never heard of the one true God of heaven and earth and his Son Jesus Christ or we can start acting like we know the God and Creator of all and has the beauty of life within Him so it can be unleashed in your life – even while we’re still here on earth. What do you want to know as a fundamental truth in your life today? We pray that it is to know God and his Son as the only authority and take part in His supreme power in your life.
