1 Corinthians 1:10

DaySpring Daily Word of Inspiration:  1 Corinthians 1:10 – I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.

In God’s unfairness we’ve benefited…. A lot! We’ve seen that his love toward us is unconditional, He has given us the gift of salvation, and His will is that we be conformed to His likeness as an action in response to him being so unfair. Now we reach the culmination of the fact. If we as Christians are truly embracing the unfairness of God in our lives, then we should all look the same to the world; which leads into our devotional for today.

One of the things that many struggle with is whose church is right? Whose got the correct interpretation of the bible and why do so many “Christians” practice so many different things? Well the simple answer for this is, whoever is teaching the bible and what it commands based on what our forefathers taught and died for – is the correct biblical teaching church we should resemble. PERIOD! This is to say, if there has been over 2,000 years of biblical teaching and you’re church is doing something that our ancients didn’t do or teach based on biblical principles – then someone could be teaching it wrong! And it’s possible because we’re human and we make mistakes. But we can’t continue to stay stuck in our traditions or being prideful because we don’t want to look bad or be corrected. People’s souls are at stake! Think about this: how are you making Christ look when you misinterpret his word and lead people wayward? But I digress (but think about it).

Think about our circular organizations today. We have equal rights organizations, freedom of speech organizations, free healthcare organizations, self-empowerment organizations, and the like. What makes them stand out? How do they get their causes promoted, mentioned, given attention to and acted on? Well simply because they are all on the same page! The have a singular intention; they fight for the same cause and no matter if they have 2 chapters in a city or 300 chapters across the nation, they are affective because they take a position, stand on it and everyone in unison is dedicated to the exact same thing. The effect communities, the outcome of thought processes, and shift the social paradigm into their favor with shear passion for what they believe it. Wow! You know where I’m going with this right….

What about the organization of the Christian believer? What is to be said of the organization that is representing Jesus Christ and pushing forward his cause? Hmmmm…… If we want to be an effective unit that is designed to stand against injustice (moral and immoral), fight for truth to be freely heard & expressed, and to have God’s agenda impact our local communities and communities around the world – we have to get on the same page!!!!!! As Christian believers, God’s unfairness should impact each of us in the same way whereas it makes us all in gratitude adjust our focus, realign with its other members, and push forward the grand agenda; God’s voice and hope in Christ Jesus to the world! There truly is strength in numbers and our strength is more than able influence the world because we not only have passion like other organizations, but we have the hand of God working in our favor to ensure His work is completed! Once again, God is so unfair that, even in our sinful, wretched, and nasty selves, he will side with us as one unit; the body of Christ, to forward his agenda in bringing souls back into the safety of a relationship with him. Why God, are you so unfair to us?!

Today as the breathe of God has said in the scripture above, if we are all brothers and sisters in Christ and we share in his unfairness, we have an obligated duty to be on the same page in what we say, how we conduct ourselves, being perfectly united in our mind, thought and mission as the only organization on the planet promoting his agenda the way it has been for 2,000+ years; the way he set it up in his word (the bible)! Are you moved by God’s unfairness to get in on the action of affecting the world through his Christian organization? We pray today that the divisions can cease and the oneness of the gospel and Christians around the world can unite and affect change that would glorify God for his unfairness to us. In Jesus’ name, AMEN!
