Happy Friday all, we have had a wonderful week to truly get in tune with our creator. We’ve been able to examine our hearts and get them on track with taking God’s word seriously. We’ve even been able to see why Jesus might cry over our lives. All in all, it’s because of his love for us! God loves us some much, he’s pulled out all of the stops to make sure we’re able to have a relationship with him. That’s real love!!
God’s love is just like that of our parents. When we’re young, immature and constantly missing up, God (like our fathers and mothers) has to discipline us. He gives us the proverbial “whooping” and tries to help us understand that the path we’re on doesn’t lead to a good place; in turn He rebukes our choices, mindset and attitudes so that we grow in knowledge (of the gospel) on how to live as adults.
As we age and mature in God’s ways (live biblically in reverence of his words), we grow into respectable, well rounded and confident adults who have the word of life etched in their hearts. Needless to say, like any parent would be, this makes God proud.
Is your life giving God something to rejoice over? Have you grown to the point where you’re not needing to be disciplined…as much anymore? Is He looking at what he’s taught you over the many years of your life and saying “Well done”? Does God sing your praise, for although there is nothing good about me or you, he’s still excited that Jesus made the choice to stay on the cross…even if it was just for you?
Today and over this upcoming weekend, let’s give God a reason to rejoice! Obedience is a great way to start…..fyi
We pray that you have been pricked in your heart to make adjustments in your life that would make God leap for joy. As always, this Sunday is a perfect day to attend a church service – not for the cliché of saying you went but to make sure that you’re being connected to the source and trying to live out its truths in your life…..daily with people who are in the same fight as you!
