DaySpring Daily Word of Inspiration: 2 Cor. 4:11 – For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body. 

Are you the light? What dangers or ridicule have you faced for the cause of Christ? Do people turn to you for spiritual guidance?

There is something that we as Christians must remember as we walk through this life together; we are no longer who we used to be. This sounds simple enough, right? Well the problem at times becomes that we haven’t truly died to ourselves for Jesus’ sake. We like the appeal of going to be with God in heaven but forget about the work that is required to get there.

Our deaths (of who we were) should manifest something that looks like Jesus Christ living through us. If you have supposedly died (in Christ), who should we have alive in your flesh now?

If you’re a Christian, people should see a few things different about you in your life….yeah, you’re not perfect (nor will you ever be) but you should absolutely be getting better! Over time you WILL get better in many more areas of life. Why? Well, for Jesus’ sake!!!!

As we continue to die to our own wants, actions, thoughts, desires and negativity, we stop the power struggle from within, allowing Jesus’ attributes to be revealed through our own flesh.

The question today, do people see our Lord’s attributes through your life? Has anyone persecuted you for your stance or belief in Christ? If you’re not facing any challenging situations in this life for claiming Christ, are you going against the grain enough for His name sake? The reality is you will look like one of two beings: You will either look like Jesus or you will look like the world. Your temple CAN & WILL only worship one god; make sure you’re worshiping the right one……

Our prayer today is that we all separate ourselves from our own filth for Jesus’ sake and allow his power, omnipotence and sovereignty to reign through our bodies so others may be impacted by his presence. Remember, to some people you’re the only example of Jesus Christ they will EVER see… Make a great first impression. Have an amazing & blessed day all. In Jesus’ name, AMEN!
