1 Corinthians 1:18

DaySpring Daily Word of Inspiration: 1 Cor. 1:18 – For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
Today we will be short, sweet and practical. Over the course of this week, we have examined the foundation that God wants us to have and why it’s important. Let’s recap:

God wants to dwell within us. He molds our characters and personalities so we can teach others his ways and show them that it is possible. Lastly, it should result in a life of gratitude and praise to God for all of his grace, mercy and blessings (in a nut shell).

The Word of God I going forth this week and directives have been laid bare so that each of us has a framework to begin our journey with Christ, remember, the word of God is actively and increasingly supposed to be changing and maturing you in the faith. As a believer in Christ, we hope that will be your position this week.

Unfortunately, there are some of us who have read these very meditations and will let the nuggets; the jewels (if you will) of God go in one ear and out of the other. Luckily, as long as it is called “today”, we all have hope! Thank you Jesus! What better day to get on board with the power of God than today?

God’s message and the good news about the cross will go forward until Christ is revealed again. Let that very message impact your heart in a real and genuine way.

We pray today that if you’re curious about this cross and the power behind it, that you get plugged into your local church and get the answers that your heart is yearning for. If you’re a Christian believer, a worshipper of Jesus Christ, let’s get committed to allowing the message of the cross to first effect our lives; that the power of it can impact others to accept the message of Christ. Continue to evolve in Christ, the power in that is seeing souls brought to Jesus so he can save them. We each have a job to do in God’s Kingdom; don’t be a slacker.

This week we encourage you to get connected with a church that is authentically preaching Christ through God’s Word and let the knowledge of the gospel move you into the season God has prepared for you. We pray that God’s Word takes root in your heart and permeates through your existence so that God may ultimately receive the praise, honor, and glory. We pray all of these things in Jesus’ name, AMEN!
